Muddying the waters

Tabloid chemistry at The Age--- piss weak . According to the Age, the penguins on some spot "could" starve and the turbidity ( the only big short term impact from dredging the new bay channel )"will affect" is right but only for a short time and " well what degree ? - she no matter ?" .The thinking public wait for an answer to a reasonable question but what do they get ? more obfuscation

Any reasonable chemist can predict what will happen to much loved mystery of turbidity( the big fear word in the age non story) let alone a production ecologist .! The 3 lone rangers writing the story mix fact and fear with a passion that makes truth impossible for age readers to gain.
presumably they trawled for hours to get even these precious little gems for Big new news items from the tom now before us !

If the age employed or consulted proper science writers they would be quickly weeding out the the "coulds and wills" into a much more cohrenet picture in line with the consesnus of the first EES . Save the public of vic 100 million on an exrecise in obfuscation !! Not worth buying- the age , that is !

Why is this comment listed on this blog ? because The people of victoria wil continue to pay dearly and improperly to get enviroenmeta risk information they used to get "for nothing" - when they had scientists on board who the people and the polys could trust to be objective !
The governmenet would rather obviscation than clarification and the consultants will continue to have a field day!
Thanks John Thwaites - for nothing but obfuscation, ignorance and fear ! and the age for helping them along!

How much do you have to pay to get someone to tell you what the indepenadnats already know - 100 million, at least and who knows if such a tom won't drive more litigous nonsense than a few words of wisdom in someones;'s pinky heeded at the right time ??.
